THEME OF INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY 2022 - "Yoga for humanity"

The theme for International Day of Yoga 2022 is 'Yoga for humanity' keeping in mind the mental, physical and emotional strife caused by the pandemic. Our school gives utmost importance to yoga to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Regular yoga practice creates mental clarity and calmness; increases body awareness; relieves chronic stress patterns; relaxes the mind; improves focus; and sharpens concentration. On International Yoga Day, various Yoga activities were organised in the school premises to encourage students to stay fit and healthy. The students of St. Mary's School, Dwarka participated actively in the celebration of International Yoga Day. They performed various asanas such as Bhujangasana, Vrikshasana, Tadasana, Pranayama, MahaPran Dhwani and Bhramari Pranayama to provide relaxation to muscles, increase flexibility and muscle strength.
