School excursions are an important and effective means of motivating students and engaging them in active learning experiences. Excursions are carefully planned as part of the educational program. The excursions take the form of day picnics, heritage walks and outstation trips.
Leadership Camp at Shivpuri, Rishikesh
16.5.2026 to 18.5.2026: St. Mary’s School, Dwarka organised the Leadership Camp 2026–27 for the Student Council at Snow Leopard Camp in Shivpuri, Rishikesh, amidst the scenic Shiwalik ranges overlooking the sacred River Ganga. The camp aimed to nurture leadership qualities through adventure, teamwork, reflection and experiential learning, offering students a valuable opportunity to step out of their comfort zones and grow together as confident and responsible leaders.
The session led by the trainers, Mr. Rajiv Sharma and Mr. Dipankar Das, highlighted that true leadership is rooted in vision, integrity, responsibility and teamwork. The sessions encouraged students to reflect on resilience, optimism and purpose, laying the foundation for the enriching experiences that followed.
Students enthusiastically participated in a range of thoughtfully designed activities including Carpet Volleyball, the Raft Building Challenge, River Rafting, Zipline, Water Polo and a Cap Painting Session. Each activity brought with it unique learning experiences. The Leadership Camp 2026–27 concluded with a heartfelt reflection where students shared how the experience had shaped them and reflected on their key takeaways. They also expressed sincere gratitude to the Principal, Mrs. Sheelu Mathew, for giving them this wonderful opportunity at the beginning of their leadership journey.
