Class Day (III) Theme – “The Jungle Book”
St. Mary’s School, Dwarka celebrated Std. III Class Day was held on 10th February, 2024. The theme of the programme was Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling, which is a fictional story of a boy , Mowgli, who was raised by wolves and learned the ways to live in the jungle alongside other animals. The children participated in various activities such as choir, dance and play/drama with great enthusiasm. Our chief guest was Ms. Shaheen Sheikh, who is a trained Indian Classical Drama artist from the National School of Drama and currently she is working as a Drama Teacher in the senior wing of the Khaitan School, graced the event and encouraged the students for their breathtaking and mesmerising performances.The show was a great success.
2019-20
Class Day (III) Theme – “The Tale of Momotaro”
St. Mary’s School, Dwarka celebrated Class Day of Std. III, on 28thth September 2019 with great enthusiasm and elan. The students presented the musical play ‘The Tale of Momotaro’ with great gusto. The programme commenced by invoking God’s blessings with a beautiful rendition of ‘Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam’. This was followed by the captivating performance of the musical play and amalgamation of mesmerizing dance performances.Dr.Promodini Verma, the Principal, Bharati College, University of Delhi and now a Director at the South Asian University, New Delhi raced the occasion with her presence. She complimented the school for incorporating international culture among the students. She appreciated the students and teachers for their efforts.The Vice Pricipal, Ms.Seema Bali addressed the gathering. Happiness and pride was evident on the faces of the parents to see their young children perform with confidence.
2017-18
Class Day (III) Theme – “Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs”
St. Mary’s School, Dwarka celebrated the Class Day of Class III on 25th November 2017 with elan and enthusiasm. The children proudly presented the widely popular fairy tale ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ in a musical form. It is a tale of a beautiful little princess who was saved from the evil deeds of her wicked step mother by a group of seven adorable dwarfs. They loved and cared for her till she was rescued by the prince charming. The children captivated the audience with their songs, play and dances. The play presented by the students showcased the importance of having true friends in our lives.The chief guest for the day was Mrs. Gurpreet Kaur, HOD English at St. Francis de Sales School. A Gold medalist from Delhi University, she has been involved in training students on public speaking including debates and declamations. She is also a co-author for Interactive English books for senior classes of Jammu and Kashmir Board.Happiness and pride was evident on the faces of the parents to see their young children perform with confidence. The chief guest addressed the gathering. The function ended with the vote of thanks, school song and National Anthem.
2016-17
Class Day (III) Theme – “Little Beams, Big Opportunities”
St. Mary’s School , Dwarka organised the Class Day of Class III on 6th August, 2016 with great enthusiasm and fervour .The theme for the Class Day was “Little Beams, Big Opportunities”. All the students of Class III participated in the programme. The children captivated the audience with the ramp show, songs, play, aerobics and dances. The play presented by the students showcased how little children can dream big and achieve big things in life. The chief guest for the day was Mr. Suchitra Kumar, General Manager HR Department at IGI Airport. Feeling of contentment and pride was evident on the faces of the parents of the young children who performed with confidence and spunk. The chief guest addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts made by the little ones and the teachers.
2015-16
Class Day (III) Theme – “Commit to be Fit”
Std. III celebrated their class day on 6th February, 2016 with great zest and enthusiasm. The children showcased their talent with great zeal.Prof. N.K. Bhasin, retired English professor from Delhi University was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The Theme for this year was "Commit to be Fit". The programme started with invoking the blessings of the almighty followed by the Hindi song "Aashaein", English song "Earth – we are in it together" and the play "Oscar’s New Suit". The theme emphasized on keeping our mind, body and soul fit thrugh various physical activities and following healthy eating habits. The audience was impressed by the programme and applauded the children for their effort.
2014-15
Class Day (III) Theme – “Fairy Tale - Cindrella”
Believing in the fact that everybody’s life is a fairy tale written by God, St. Mary’s School Dwarka celebrated the Class Day of Class III with enthusiasm and elan. The theme for the same was the fairy tale “Cinderella”. The children captivated the audience with their songs, play and dances.Ms Reena pandey(IFS retd.) and Dr Ashok Pandey(IAS retd.) graced the occasion with their presence. Ms Pandey is a consultant for Eurasia,(Russia and former Soviet State)Ministry of External Affairs. Dr Pandey has served as secretary to speaker, Lok Sabha and also as Additional Secretary, Lok Sabha Secretariat . Happiness and pride was writ large on the faces of the parents to see their children perform on stage. The Principal Ms. Sheelu Mathew addressed the gathering. She emphasized on parents spending quality time with the children and also asked parents to encourage lots of reading. With the vote of thanks and school song, the morning ended in a beautiful resonance lingering in everybody’s minds.
