MODEL UNITED NATION(MUN), 2017

St. Mary's School Dwarka organised the Sankalp Sahodaya South West Delhi Model United Nations, along with four other partner schools, on 20th January 2017. In this conference the Security Council held a discussion on the following agenda: "Force/counter repression, is the only solution to terrorism or is there scope for political negotiation?”. Nine schools participated in the MUN. The closing ceremony was held at Maxfort School, Dwarka, on the 21st. The students of our school won following prizes at the Sankalp Sahodaya South West, Delhi MUN held at the four other partner schools:

1. Kumar Ananya of Class 10C, won the prize for the Best Delegate at Indian Heights School, Dwarka.

2. Khushi Vats of Class 9C, won the prize for High Recommendation at Maxfort School, Dwarka.

3. Devam Kaushik of Class 10C and Anushka Jha of Class  10E, won the prize for the Best Position Paper at N.K. Bagrodia School, Dwarka. 









MODEL UNITED NATION(MUN), 2016

Our School organised the Model United Nations Conference on 27th July,2016. 

The discussions in the MUN Conference were held on the topic " Impact of Terrorism on Refugee Crisis".

 MODEL UNITED NATION(MUN), 2015 at St. Mary's School, Dwarka

Our School organised the Sankalp Sahodaya South West Delhi Model United Nations Conference on 26th August, 2015. Nine schools from South and West Delhi participated in the MUN.

The discussions in the MUN Conference were held on the following AGENDA : 

The agenda for the United Nations General Assembly was “Review of disaster protection  and assistance to internally displaced  people.”

The agenda for the United Nations Environment Programme was “Conservation and Management of resources for Sustainable development”

The agenda for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees  was  “Protection, rehabilitation and assimilation of refugees, within new national  communities.”

During the MUN session, participants furthermore employed a variety of communication and critical thinking skills, in order to represent the policies of their country. These skills included public speaking, group communication, research, policy analysis, negotiation and conflict resolution. Therefore through MUN the participants not only got an insight into world politics, but also acquired the soft skills necessary for a successful future

Rupam Jha was awarded the best delegate in MUN held at Venkateshwar International School but the prize distribution was done at N.K. Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka.
